"...after classes she was walking a group of the 4-year olds to the schoolbus. The kids were walking in an orderly line when suddenly one started chanting: الشعب يريد اسقاط النظام [(People want the downfall of the regime)] followed by الشعب يريد اسقاط الأتوبيس [(People want the downfall of the school bus)]. Soon the whole line of 4-year olds was chanting along, to the surprise of all the other middle and high school students who were waiting in line for their buses. Most unfortunately, there is no video of the event."

Massive Protests Loom in Saudi Arabia or Saudi Arabi Bans All Protests and Marches
Massive anti-government protests are impending in Saudi Arabia following the arrest of a senior cleric who called for political reform in the country, an analyst says.
The recent "crackdown” in the city of Qatif on a protest for the release of political prisoners will have dire repercussions for the government in Saudi Arabia, political analyst Mohamed al-Massari told Press TV on Saturday. “They made a stupid mistake by attacking women and so on because they think Shia women do not have ... the honor protection like the rest of the women in the country. But attacking women in Saudi Arabia, in an Islamic country is very severe, very negative and catastrophic ... and this will have dire repercussions,” al-Massari said

The ban on public demonstrations comes amid media reports of a huge mobilisation of Saudi troops in Shia-dominated provinces in order to quell any possible uprising.
According to The Independent, a British newspaper, 10,000 security personnel are being sent to the region by road, clogging highways into Dammam and other cities.

Queen of Jordan on Twitter
Queen Rania: tweeting to the end
I can see Queen Rania tweeting her way to the every end. I can imagine her last tweet: I am in a dark place. It may be the trunk of a car. I have not seen my idiot husband who brought us to this. I am told he was dangling from an electricity pole somewhere in Amman. I think that the people of Davos will miss me. I wonder if I look glamorous in the trunk of this car. Where are you Oprah to save me?
From the Queens own website:
"A keen runner, and seeker of good jogging tunes, Queen Rania enjoys spending time with her family and friends in Aqaba, where she can relax and get into a great book. She also makes a mean chocolate chip cookie."

"Oman is on fire and al-Jazeera is quiet, and so is al-Arabiyya who only reported on points lost in Oman stock market. And of course Omani channels are not saying a word. Reuters reported this yesterday: but the number of protesters was higher, around 3000; the police used tear gas and the protesters reacted by attacking the police injuring a high ranking one and sending him to hospital. The road to al-`Ayn in the Emirates was temporarily closed. And this is what is not being reported:
Yesterday there was a demonstration in Sour and a police center was burned. Today: more protests in Sohar and the police used live ammunition killing a 15 year old boy. Banks are closed in Sohar now. The Wali of Sohar came out with other tribal leaders to calm people down but they were attacked and ran away. A police station was put on fire. It seems tanks are deployed there now. There are protests in Salala too. I don’t know if you know this, but Omani police and mukhabarat get much of their training in Jordan. How did I get this info?... is sending me updates. info is reliable (my ... People are spreading he news there be telephoning each other). And:
A relatively unknown map of the Middle East, NATO-garrisoned Afghanistan, and Pakistan has been circulating around strategic, governmental, NATO, policy and military circles since mid-2006. It has been causally allowed to surface in public, maybe in an attempt to build consensus and to slowly prepare the general public for possible, maybe even cataclysmic, changes in the Middle East. This is a map of a redrawn and restructured Middle East identified as the “New Middle East.”

Obama a Pointy Head Economist? Geithner a Dr.Strangelove With Two Good Legs?
-- U.S. companies shouldn't worry about inflation if they're planning on expanding their business, President Barack Obama said Thursday. "We're not seeing a broad-based inflation trend," Obama said at the first meeting of his Council on Jobs and Competitiveness. At the same meeting, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner said substantial world oil reserves should help with any disruptions to oil supplies, amid worry over turmoil in oil-exporter Libya. Obama said he thinks "we'll be able to ride out the Libya situation" and that it will stabilize.

Bahrain Government is a US Base
The protesters, including women and children, had been camping out and the atmosphere had been festive only hours before. But by about 3:30 a.m. Thursday, people were fleeing, screaming “We were sleeping. We were sleeping,” and ambulances, sirens blaring, were trying to make their way through the crowds.

Bahrain, while a small Persian Gulf nation, has considerable strategic value to the United States as the base of its Fifth Fleet, which American officials rely upon to assure the continued flow of oil from the Persian Gulf to the West and to protect the interests of the United States in a 20-nation area that includes vital waterways such as the Suez Canal and the Strait of Hormuz. The base is home to 2,300 military personnel, most of them in the Navy.

There are no indications so far that the U.S. would accept a democratic leadership that dispenses with the legacy of the present regime.
Events in Egypt show U.S. understanding of Middle East is almost zero
By Fatih Abdulsalam
February 6, 2011
The U.S. has shown that it does not understand and comprehend the pulse of the street in the Arab world despite its multifarious intelligence agencies. It has drastically failed to weigh the influence governments, oppositions and Arab populations exercise in the Arab world.
It seems the U.S. relies heavily on unilateral sources which are very close to the circles of power in the Middle East and lacks the ability to interpret and decipher the situation and its likely course in the future.
In thousands of documents WikiLeaks has released of secret correspondence regarding the Middle East, there has been no hint that the days of U.S. allies in the region were close.
Today, the U.S. tries its best, through contacts with other Arab capitals, to contain the situation. But this time, Washington is not seeking the assistance of International Monetary Fund to help the region’s countries privatize their economy and societies.
It is no good blaming the past. The U.S. now realizes change is coming. Arab leaders, after the events in both Tunisia and Egypt, have taught every leader in the Middle East a lesson.
But what is striking in all this is the fact that the U.S., while realizing that change is in the offing, does not seem to have grasped the lesson.
The Egyptian people want the whole regime to go. The U.S. is striving to bring about the type of change that will change the head and keep the regime.
Could it be that U.S. politicians do not have efficient translators to render into proper English what the millions of Egyptians have been shouting in the past two weeks.
The motto in the Liberation Square in the heart of Cairo calls for a fresh start and a change not only in the head but the whole regime. This is the meaning of the slogans the Egyptians have been raising for more than a fortnight. Did anyone translate them differently for the U.S. administration?
There are no indications so far that the U.S. would accept a democratic leadership that dispenses with the legacy of the present regime.
Therefore, the U.S. is only interested in the type of negotiations and discussions that will find an exit for the head of the regime and keep his base intact.
This also shows that the U.S. interprets the events in Egypt as a vendetta between the Egyptian people and their president. Otherwise, how could one understand U.S.’s willingness and happiness with the second man in command, i.e. the new vice-president.
Who turned President Hosni Mubarak into a dictator? There is no evidence that he owes his dictatorship to extra-terrestrial beings.
Egyptians understand that Mubarak owes his tyranny to the U.S. and his cronies who the U.S. would like to see at the helm of power instead of him
Certainly, Mubarak is very sad now. His sadness does not emanate from the fact that his own people are trampling on his portraits with their feet almost everywhere in Egypt.
Mubarak is sad because he has come to realize his standing in U.S. eyes.

Obushma and Klinton Take Action to Save the Egyptian People with Amerikan Demokracy
A dictatorial regime must be saved and a country's constitution must be subverted from outside it's own borders before that dictator can be unseated or that nation's constitution upheld. George W. Bushlite 101. Taste great, less filling. Let's begin:
CAIRO — "The United States and leading European nations on Saturday threw their weight behind a gradual transition in Egypt, backing attempts by the country’s vice president, Omar Suleiman, to negotiate with opposition groups without immediately removing President Hosni Mubarak from power."
Suleiman the torturer garners approval from the worlds leading demokracies. The Egyptian protesters appear to be somewhat miffed:
“They are trying to kill what has happened and to contain and abort the revolution,” said Hassan Nafaa, a political science professor at Cairo University. “They want to continue to manage the country like they did while making some concessions. These are cosmetic changes that don’t change the regime. We do not want this.”
Sec. of State Klinton speaks:
“This takes some time,” Mrs. Clinton said. “There are certain things that have to be done in order to prepare.”
Prepare for what Sec. Klinton? The propping up of another brutal regime that plays ball with Israel and the US? A meet the new boss, same as the old boss ploy, Ms. Klinton?
Frank G. Wisner, a former VP of the bloodsucking firm AIG and Obushma's hand selected point man in Egypt, chimes in:
“You need to get a national consensus around the preconditions of the next step forward, and the president must stay in office in order to steer those changes through,” Mr. Wisner said of Mr. Mubarak. “I therefore believe that President Mubarak’s continued leadership is critical — it’s his opportunity to write his own legacy.”
Ah yes wise Mr. Wisner. Mubarak must be allowed to write his own legacy and keep Egypty from descending into chaos. How much money is the Wisner out to make by brokering such a deal?
An Egyptian protester seeking the right for Egyptians to control their own destiny adds:
“President Obama better put pressure on Mubarak to leave or things are going to get a lot worse here,” said Ibrahim Mustafa, 42, who was waiting to enter Tahrir Square in the morning as the military was tightening restrictions. “He needs to get the army to force him out of here. America is going to create another Iran here. America doesn’t understand. The people know it’s supporting an illegitimate regime.”
You are correct Mr. Mustafa. The American people don't understand. They are ruled by fear, not by knowledge.
Speaking of fear:
"Mrs. Clinton expressed fears about deteriorating security inside Egypt, noting the explosion at a gas pipeline in the Sinai Peninsula, and uncorroborated media reports of an earlier assassination attempt on Mr. Suleiman."
/snip/
"Mrs. Clinton highlighted the dangers of holding elections without adequate preparation. “Revolutions have overthrown dictators in the name of democracy, only to see the process hijacked by new autocrats who use violence, deception, and rigged elections to stay in power."
Yes Ms. Klinton. Valid points. The process of democracy must be hijacked by the old autocrats. Not the new autocrats.
Suleiman and his self appointed wise men seek a way to subvert Egypt's constitution:
"In Cairo, however, there were few indications that Mr. Suleiman and other officials were making much progress in addressing concerns of opposition groups. Negotiations between Mr. Suleiman and a group of self-appointed “wise men” who are acting as intermediaries between the vice president and the protesters and trying to find away around limits on succession in the Constitution did not advance significantly."
Yes. Suleiman the torturer must find ways to get around the limits of succession in the Constitution so he may succeed his long time friend and confidant Hosni.
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/06/world/middleeast/06egypt.html?pagewanted=2&hp
In the Washington Post, Frank "AIG" Wisner continues to talk his own book:
"President Mubarak remains utterly critical in the days ahead as we sort our way toward the future,"
Yes we can save Hosni and make a boatload of kash in the process.
Sec. Klinton's fear card is displayed further:
"Clinton urged the government to take more steps. But she also warned that if the transition is not carried out with deliberation, there are forces "that will try to derail or overtake the process, to pursue their own specific agenda - which is why I think it's important to support the transition process announced by the Egyptian government, actually headed now by Vice President Omar Suleiman."
Clinton did not identify the forces, but she appeared to be referring to Islamist radicals."
Suleiman the torturer must be supported or terrorists will rule Egypt. You riddled with and ruled by fear Americans got it?
AIG Wisner continues to pump his own book:
"In his remarks from New York, Wisner told the conference that frequent calls by foreigners for Mubarak's ouster had created a "negative force" inside Egypt .
He also said there were practical reasons why it might be better for Mubarak to remain on the job.
"The Egyptian constitution is quite clear," he said. "If the presidency is vacated, then the speaker of parliament takes over, and in a couple of months you have elections. Those elections would take place under the current dispositions. Those dispositions are currently unacceptable to those protesting in the streets of Cairo today."
Therefore, he said, constitutional changes are needed, adding, "The president must stay in office in order to steer those changes through."
Translation: Mubarak and his regime must stay. If not, the dumb and dirty Egyptians will determine their own fate and I won't make assloads of money.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2011/02/05/AR2011020501459.html?hpid=topnews
ElBaradei speaks:
"Mubarak needs to go as a precondition of talks," ElBaradei said in an interview Saturday night. "If you really want change, you have to depart completely from this pseudo-democracy. And that's not happening. It's not only that Mubarak isn't leaving. It's that he and his vice president have been making only peanut concessions."
No Mr. Elbaradei, this is not a pseudo-democracy it is Amerikan style demokracy. Play ball, sell out your countrymen and your beliefs and millions of dollars will appear in a Swiss bank account under your assigned number.
Large banner in square speaks the truth:
"Mubarak appointed Suleiman, his intelligence chief, as vice president shortly after the demonstrations began. On Saturday afternoon, the protesters in the square were flanked by a large banner that read: "No Mubarak, no Suleiman. Both are American Agents."
From Tehran, Iran's Ayatollah speaks to the Egyptian military:
"The Egyptian army is part of the people that will follow the masses," Khamenei said.
On Saturday, a senior Iranian leader weighed in, making a similar appeal to his counterparts in Egypt. Iranian army Lt. Cmdr. Gen. Seyed Abdolrahim Mousavi likened the protests in Egypt to Iran's 1979 Islamic Revolution. Egypt's government is secular.
"We hope that the army of Egypt takes a careful and cautious look at this practical model and comes out of tyranny's darkness and joins the light of God," Mousavi said, according to the semiofficial Fars news agency.
Egyptian officials have denounced foreign meddling in the crisis."
That last sentence in this article is interesting. "Egyptian officials have denounced foreign meddling in the crisis." Interesting due to the fact it's added after a paragraph written on the comments from Iran. Not after pages and pages reported on the "meddling" of the US and others in Egypt's affairs.
What we are witnessing is yet another Amerikan govt. misstep as they wade into the affairs of a mid-eastern country attempting to dictate the outcome in terms that are most favorable to the US, Israel and the global wealthy elites. The overthrow of Iran's democratically elected leader Mossadegh in 1953, the arming and training of "Freedom fighters" in Afghanistan in the early 1980's and the continued propping up financially and militarily of dictators and dictator lites throughout the middle east.
The result of this latest endeavour will be the same as it's predecessors. It will come back to bite the US in their ass. Blowback being the appropriate term. The world saw the peaceful demonstrations put on by millions of Egyptian youths. Now the world will see the meddling of the US to maintain the status quo that the peaceful demonstrators were protesting against.
All the polling I saw on the approval ratings of Obama and the US by the Egyptian people were abysmal at close to fifteen percent. Expect these numbers to plummet further as the Egyptians see the further meddling in their affairs by the US.
Egypt has the youngest median age along with some of the highest unemployment and poverty rates in the entire Middle East. As these hungry and unemployed masses of youth realize that their attempts to bring about change via peaceful demonstrations have been subjugated by the US and the other leading "democracies," what then will they do and who will they turn to for help in bringing about the change they desire?
I understand global diplomacy and the maintaining of the status quo is extremely important. My point is, that no matter what actions are taken by the US, Israel and others in their attempt to maintain the status quo, the current situation in Egypt is much closer to the beginning than to the end. As the US and others spread the fear of radical elements and terrorists to provide cover for their own actions, their words may well prove to create self fulfilling prophecies in Egypt. Egypt is the crystal ball that other Muslim nations look towards to see their own future. The US can not afford to open another front in their "Global war on terror," but I'm afraid they already have.
CAIRO — "The United States and leading European nations on Saturday threw their weight behind a gradual transition in Egypt, backing attempts by the country’s vice president, Omar Suleiman, to negotiate with opposition groups without immediately removing President Hosni Mubarak from power."

Hillary Tells Suleiman the Torturer to Investigate Violence
WASHINGTON – Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has spoken with Egypt's new vice president to urge an investigation into violent attacks on protesters by pro-government supporters. She's apparently the first Cabinet-level official to reach out to Omar Suleiman, a longtime confidante of the U.S.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110202/ap_on_re_us/us_us_egypt_suleiman
Another laugh as the AP refers to VP Suleiman as a "longtime confidant of the US," without explaining what the US and he confided in. Which was torture. Background on Suleiman the torturer:
"Each rendition was authorized at the very top levels of both governments....The long-serving chief of the Egyptian central intelligence agency, Omar Suleiman, negotiated directly with top Agency officials. [Former U.S. Ambassador to Egypt] Walker described the Egyptian counterpart, Suleiman, as "very bright, very realistic," adding that he was cognizant that there was a downside to "some of the negative things that the Egyptians engaged in, of torture and so on. But he was not squeamish, by the way.
"Habib was interrogated by the country's Intelligence Director, General Omar Suleiman.... Suleiman took a personal interest in anyone suspected of links with Al Qaeda. As Habib had visited Afghanistan shortly before 9/11, he was under suspicion. Habib was repeatedly zapped with high-voltage electricity, immersed in water up to his nostrils, beaten, his fingers were broken and he was hung from metal hooks.
That treatment wasn't enough for Suleiman, so:
"But in secret, men like Omar Suleiman, the country's most powerful spy and secret politician, did our work, the sort of work that Western countries have no appetite to do ourselves."
http://www.commondreams.org/view/2011/01/30-2
So, Sec. of State Clinton's contact person regarding the beatings of protesters is a man who is not squeamish about torture, ordered the breaking of fingers, the zapping with high voltage and the hanging by hooks. When these treatments weren't effective, Suleiman then ordered a guard to brutally murder a shackled prisoner in order to loosen the tongue of the he was interrogating.. A man with a history such as this, a Mubarak loyalist is being asked to look into the beating of anti-Mubarak protesters? Come on, Hillary. The world is watching and they aren't as stupid or naive as you give them credit for.
Bibi weighs in on what the Egyptian people must do to ensure a transition to democracy.
"An Egypt that will adopt these reforms will be a source of hope for the world. As much as the foundations for democracy are stronger, the foundations for peace are stronger."
Netanyahu continued, adding that although the protests may not be motivated by religious extremism, "in a situation of chaos, an organized Islamist body can seize control of a country. It happened in Iran. It happened in other instances".
http://www.haaretz.com/news/diplomacy-defense/netanyahu-a-democratic-egypt-won-t-threaten-peace-with-israel-1.340899
Israel playing the fear card very hard as AIPAC blows up the cellphones of their lackeys in the US government. The situation will soon spin out of their control as the global powers continue to back Mubarak. The world witnessed the peaceful gathering of the anti-Mubarak crowd estimated at two million people as they also witnessed the horses, camels and whips riding into the crowd reportedly sent by Mubarak's Ministry of Spontaneous Protests. If Mubarak leaves, some time will be bought. But, after ruling with an iron fist for over thirty years, his fingerprints and legacy will remain only working to re-ignite the fury of the Egyptians.
If Mubarak doesn't leave, the dividing and conquering of the masses that was witnessed today will escalate. I see no way out for Mubarak or the global powers that seek an "orderly transition," whatever that means. Does an orderly transition infer a return to a so called normalcy under Mubarak or a Mubarak loyalist? An orderly transition that allows commerce to continue as the protesters who seek an American style democracy that does not exist continue on as they did before? There is no way out. Push will soon meet shove.

Should the Smart Money be On Osama bin Laden?
Contrary to the deceptive and misleading statements made by George W. Bush, bin Laden's goal was not to attack freedom, democracy, baseball, hot dogs and apple pie. His goal that he stated time and time again was to bring about the bankrupting of the US so they could no longer afford to prop up foreign dictators in the Muslim world. From November 1, 2004, "We are continuing this policy in bleeding America to the point of bankruptcy. Allah willing, and nothing is too great for Allah," bin Laden said in the transcript. Further in the same transcript from over six years ago, Osama presciently stated: "All that we have to do is to send two mujahedeen to the furthest point east to raise a piece of cloth on which is written al Qaeda, in order to make generals race there to cause America to suffer human, economic and political losses without their achieving anything of note other than some benefits for their private corporations."
As for Bush's Iraq policy, Bin Laden said, "the darkness of black gold blurred his vision and insight, and he gave priority to private interests over the public interests of America.
When bin Laden make these remarks the US budget deficit was $413 billion dollars. That amount was called "dangerous" by economists such as Krugman. Now Krugman and other economists claim the current deficit of over $1.5 trillion dollars isn't enough and needs to be increased. The coward thief Bernanke has printed nearly two trillion more dollars in addition to the deficit. The stock market has recovered as more people have lost their jobs and homes, and not enough new jobs are being created to absorb the approximately 150,000 new entrants into the work force every month. The US is basically bankrupt, but due to the luxury of having the worlds reserve currency and the ability to print as much as Bernanke wants, the effects of this bankruptcy have just been delayed. When that day of reckoning comes is any one's guess, but when it does it will make the last financial crisis appear as a picnic.
Over six years ago, bin Laden also said: "the mujahedeen fighters did the same thing to the Soviet Union in Afghanistan in the 1980s, using guerrilla warfare and the war of attrition to fight tyrannical superpowers."
The war in Afghanistan now well into it's tenth year, it is the longest and most expensive war ever fought in the history of the US and hundred's of billions of dollars are still unaccounted for to this day.

I don't believe the hype bullshit fear mongering put out by Israel and many US politicians who attempt to instill fear in Americans by warning that if Mubarak is forced out too soon, an orderly transition to their hand picked and vetted successors will not be allowed to happen and the Islamists,(funny how spell check suggests changing Islamists to Alarmists), will seize power. But who knows? All I know is that what is desired by the Egyptian people themselves will not happen because the US, Israel, the UK, France and Germany do not want it to happen. The last thing these leading so called "democracies" want to see is the citizens of Egypt deciding their own fate. Doing so would limit, if not end, their abilities to control the Egyptian government along with their ability to force and or bride the Egyptian government to act in the best interests of the global powers instead of acting on behalf the Egyptian people. This process will take months and in the end, the Egyptian people will be yet more dissatisfied by the results. What will happen then?
Ayman al-Zawahiri, bin Laden's mentor and number two in command is an Egyptian who has publicly stated, "Egypt would become a rallying point for the rest of the Islamic world, leading the jihad against the West. Then history would make a new turn, God willing," Zawahiri later wrote, "in the opposite direction against the empire of the United States and the world’s Jewish government."

The global powers will not relinquish their control to the desires of the Egyptian people. It appears the Egyptian people will not give up their fight for self governing and self direction. I say it is possible, if not likely, that we will see the fear mongering put out by the global powers regarding the Muslim Brotherhood actually come to fruition as the Egyptian people are further disappointed by the meddling in their affairs by the global powers. This would create an opening for the Muslim Brotherhood to enter. They are the only viable organization which has the money and the structure in place to allow an immediate filling of any void created over the next few months. If so. What then?

Mubarak Tells U.S that Iraqi's are too Tough for Democracy as Obama won't use the "D" Word
and Mubarak's, (doesn't he look like Dracula?), named V.P. Omar Suleiman was the CIA's point man in Egypt for prisoners sent by the US to Egypt for, "extreme rendition," aka torture. Suleiman the torturer also had misplaced concerns when he told the US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Mullen this: "Egypt is very concerned with stability in Sudan..." Clearly, Suleiman couldn't see past the nose on his own face.

Bela Mubarak warned a US delegation of worthless congressman in May 2008 that they could not pull troops from Iraq and they needed to strengthen the Iraq military for a military coup to follow that would allow a dictator to seize power, albeit but a fair dictator. Worked for him for thirty years. Mubarak then warned that democracy will not work in Iraq due to the toughness of the Iraqi people.

"In fact, newly released WikiLeaks cables show that from the moment it assumed power, the Obama administration specifically toned down public criticism of Mubarak. The US ambassador to Egypt advised secretary of state Hillary Clinton to avoid even the mention of former presidential candidate Ayman Nour, jailed and abused for years after running against Mubarak in part on America's encouragement.
Not surprisingly, when the protests began, Clinton declared that Egypt was "stable" and an important US ally, sending a strong signal that the US would not support the protesters if they tried to topple the regime. Indeed, Clinton has repeatedly described Mubarak as a family friend. Perhaps Ms Clinton should choose her friends more wisely.
Similarly, president Obama has refused to take a strong stand in support of the burgeoning pro-democracy movement and has been no more discriminating in his public characterisation of American support for its Egyptian "ally". Mubarak continued through yesterday to be praised as a crucial partner of the US. Most important, there has been absolutely no call for real democracy."

They entreat the wobbling, repressive governments in the region to "respect civil society", and the right of the people to protest peacefully, as though these thoroughly discredited autocrats were actually capable of reform..."
"The failure of the US to uphold its stated commitment to democratic values therefore goes beyond a simple surface hypocrisy, beyond the exigencies of great-power interests, to suggest a fundamental lack of belief in democracy as a means of promoting enlightened, long-term US interests in peace and stability.."
"Machiavelli once wrote that princes should see to it that they are either respected or feared; what they must avoid at all cost is to be despised. To have made itself despised as irrelevant: That is the legacy of US faithlessness and wilful blindness in the Middle East."

What does Bela Mubarak mean when he says to a delegation of US congressmen the Iraqi people are too "tough" for democracy? Why do Obama, Biden and Clinton dance around the use of the word democracy regarding Mubarak's history of torturing and imprisoning dissidents and refuse to use the "D" word in reference to the current revolution in Egypt?
The answer is simple. Democracy in the US does not exist, it is not real. Democracy is an idea, a thought, an experiment that has failed in the US. Was TARP, Too Big to Fail banks democratic? Is the current distribution of wealth in the US, which is the only true measure of a democracy, at levels not seen since 1926 and currently wider than before the financial crisis democratic? Is the need to get down on your knees and suck the cocks of Wall St., the defense and FIRE lobbys as ones only viable path to being elected to a national office democratic? Let alone torture, extreme rendition, Gitmo and misleading the nation into the Iraq war.
United States brand of democracy is dead or at best dying globally. Those in power are well aware of this fact. Be it Bush, Cheney, Rice or Obama, Biden and Clinton. Hypocrisy is a much more applicable term than democracy.

Dog Hung and Burned for Chewing Up Bible
COLUMBIA, S.C. — Authorities have charged a South Carolina woman with felony animal cruelty, saying she hanged her nephew's pit bull from a tree with an electrical cord and burned its body because the dog chewed on her Bible.
Animal control officers said Monday that 65-year-old Miriam Smith told them she killed a female dog named Diamond because it was a "devil dog" and she worried it could harm neighborhood children. Authorities said bond wasn't immediately set for Smith, who remains jailed in Spartanburg County after her weekend arrest.
Rahm (Never Let a Good Crisis Go to Waste) Emanuel Bitch Slapped by Illinois Appellate Court
"Rahm Emanuel should not appear on the Feb. 22 mayoral ballot, according to a ruling issued by a state appellate court today."
Blah! Obushma's evil lead henchman pig fuck shot down. But wait. The pigman speaketh:
"At a news conference, Emanuel said he would appeal the decision to the Illinois Supreme Court and ask the state's highest court for an injunction so that his name will appear on the mayoral ballot.
"I have no doubt at the end we'll prevail in this effort," Emanuel said. “We’ll now go to the next level to get clarity."
“I still own a home here, (I) look forward to moving into it one day, vote from here, pay property taxes here. I do believe the people of the city of Chicago deserve a right to make a decision about who they want to be their next mayor," Emanuel said
So, Pigman says he looks forward to one day vote, pay property taxes here,(meaning Chicago.) Isn't that why Pigman was struck from the ballot, because he didn't vote or pay property taxes from Chicago. Pigman speaks with forked tongue. The Pigman then adds: "I do believe the people of the city of Chicago deserve a right to make a decision about who they want to be their next mayor."
Yeah, no shit Pigman. They do deserve the right. Me thinks the Pigman Emanuel is insinuating, "Judges, Appellate courts? Pigman don't need no stinking judges or Appellate courts."
http://newsblogs.chicagotribune.com/clout_st/2011/01/appellate-court-says-emanuel-should-be-removed-from-ballot.html
Pigmans tenant speaks on the ruling:
"Rob Halpin, who rented Emanuel's Chicago home when he became the White House Chief of Staff, said he felt "vindicated" by Monday's ruling.
On to the Illinois State Supreme court for the Pigman Emmanuel. Evidently, the Supreme court judges are elected and not appointed. With the money and the clout behind the Pigman, I'd be surprised if they ruled against him.

Halpin made headlines by refusing to move out of the home when Emanuel returned to Chicago, and then announcing his own bid for mayor--before quickly bowing out.
Halpin was also called as a witness against Emanuel during his first round of residency challenges. In speaking to WGN-AM radio Monday, Halpin said "it’s very clear that only one resident” could be attached to a single residence, “unless it was some sort of hippie commune.”

Obama Kneels at the Feet and Kisses the Ring of George Bush as He Accepts the Torch and Carries the Mantel of the U.S. Deceiver-in-Chief
Immelt taking Volker's job as an advisor to the President, focusing on jobs creation? I laugh. Ha!
"[Immelt] runs a big company, but Immelt has shown more skill at cutting jobs, frankly, than creating. GE finished 2009 with 18,000 fewer US workers than it had at the end of 2008, and US headcount is down 31,000 since Immelt's first full year in 2002. During his tenure, GE workers based in the US as a percentage of total employees has fallen to 44% from 52%."

Immelt creates jobs in China and third world shit holes that beat their fitty cent an hour child laborers into submission as they pump toxic waste and sludge into the land, air and sea. What Immelt creates are tumors, leukemia and mass despair. Obushma strikes again.
"President Obama ordered federal agencies Tuesday to weed out regulations “that conflict, that are not worth the cost, or that are just plain dumb.”

Obushma transmutes into Oclintbushma as he rips a page out of Monica Lewinsky's stud lover's handbook and calls for the repeal of "dumb" regulations. After Clinton made the same statement in the mid-90's, the final repeal of Glass-Steagal was one of the "dumb" regulations that Clinton abolished. The repeal of Glass-Steagal has been named by many as the lead contributing factor to the financial meltdown.
"In case there was any question remaining in your mind as to what is really happening.
It should be noted that GE was the number one corporation in lobbying, spending $40 million on the purchase of political influence last year.
Obama is looking more like Herbert Hoover every day, but without the Great Engineer's accomplishments.
As someone said, it could have been worse, Obama could have chosen Lloyd Blankfein as his advisor. But that would have been a demotion for Lloyd, and a probable lessening of his existing impact on public policy."

Burning For Bernanke?
The recent protests in the Middle East have mostly centered on high unemployment and the rapidly rising cost of basic necessities, like food. There has been at least thirteen cases of self immolation related to these protests. The initial act in Tunisia done by Mohamed Bouazizi was followed by seven in Algeria, four in Egypt and one in Mauritania.
"The UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization recently announced that the food price index has now broken a previous record set in 2008, when food prices nearly doubled over the course of 18 months, leading to popular upheavals in dozens of countries.Rising food prices, which have shot up 25 percent in the past year, have precipitated riots and demonstrations in Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Jordan, Mozambique and Yemen in recent weeks"
http://www.wsws.org/articles/2011/jan2011/food-j19.shtml
The coward thief Bernanke strongly hinted near the end of last August that QE2 would soon be launched. Look at the end of August on the following chart and you'll see the spike, the increase in speculation of food prices soon followed Bernanke's announcement.

As the NY Fed's Brian Sack and the coward thief Bernake both said, the purpose of QE's 1 and 2 is to artificially increase asset prices. So not only is the US Federal Reserve creating an imitation, not a free market driven US debt and equity markets but these pigmen are also creating an artificial price for food and other commodities. Gas for your car and heating your home and electricity for your lights.
Of course, the world's poorest are the first to be hit by this artificial asset inflation. The larger percentage of one's income that is needed for necessities is obviously increased. See this chart for the percentage of income spent in Egypt on various items.
Note how much Egyptians spend on food, a whopping 40%. So, if an Egyptian see's his food costs, thanks to QE2 and other speculation, increase by 20%, that's a 8% cut in his wages, With very little, if any savings for the average Egyptian, this could be enough to force them to skip meals, for them and their children to go to bed hungry. Revolutions begin with empty stomachs.
Bernanke's attempt to redistribute wealth to the top is succeeding at the cost of the world's poorest going hungry. And don't think this isn't coming soon to the middle class, for it is. The pigmen care not who or what they devour. They just devour. The US once again is setting such a fine example.
Here's a theme song for the thief coward Bernanke:

Why is the Vampire Squid only Allowing Non-US Investors to Suck on it's Facebook Blood Funnel?
Less than two weeks ago, the headline writers were on their knees sucking the Vampire Squid's funnel with headlines raving about GS' mega deal for Facebook's IPO. First of all, screw Facebook. Secondly, the headlines contained words such as, "Blowout", "Mega-Deal" and "Huge Money" as the squidmen was offering the IPO to only it's mega-rich clients.
But now, only twelve days later, the deal is closed to US investors. Why? Goldman begins the explanation with, "concluded the level of media attention might not be consistent with the proper completion of a U.S. private placement under U.S. law." This makes no sense.
Then there's this from the WSJ:
It wasn't immediately clear from Goldman's statement exactly what led executives to limit the Facebook deal to non-U.S. investors. The company remained tight-lipped about the offering despite the frenzy unleashed when the deal surfaced two weeks ago. Prospective investors were repeatedly told by Goldman not to publicly disclose details about the private offering.
Private placements like the Facebook deal are subject to strict SEC guidelines, and Goldman's statement Monday suggested that executives grew concerned that huge interest in the offering could expose the securities firm to regulatory vulnerability. One Goldman client was told the deal is being offered only to non-U.S. clients because of regulatory concerns. Chinese demand is especially strong, said one person familiar with the offering.

So is this bizarre refusal to offer any US investors an attempt to tacitly threaten the masturbating, porn watching regulators at the SEC that if they pry to deep into the Squidmen dealings they will circumvent them by offering their bestest deals to only overseas investors? Being that the SEC are a bunch of masturbating, porn watching incompetent, conflicted and or corrupt regulators, I doubt it.
So why are they doing it? Is it to bow down to the US's largest creditor that exists outside the US border, Daddy Hu and company? Maybe.
Or is the Facebook deal that places a value of Facebook at over $50 billion not much different than the structured deals that were referred to as "Dog shit" by one of Goldman's VP's? probably

Bailout the People Movement
Citizens buying extra public transportation cards and using them to allow their poorer neighbors free subway rides. Grocery store managers sending their underpaid workers home with free bags of groceries because those workers and their families go hungry. Fast food restaurant managers in direct violation of their superiors padding the hours of their underpaid staff to allow for overtime pay, allowing their workers to eat something other than the greasy, cheap and unhealthy food they prepare daily. This makes me cry. To hell with the banks, the US based MNC's and our elected officials as they suck the blood from each of us. To hell with them all.

Don't Believe Evertything You Read. Unless You read it Here
But the reality of the situation is that those arrested and presented to us as al-Qaeda senior operatives are in fact members of the Iraqi armed resistance which the government has been fighting since the 2003-U.S. invasion.
The paradox is that after each operation and arrest campaign, we are more or less made to believe that the government has succeeded in rooting out all terror.
But on closer look at the identity of those shown on television as being al-Qaeda operatives, one finds that many of them are university professors, intellectuals and people of note whose social position as well as religious, intellectual and political orientations can in no way class them as ‘terrorists.’
We cannot claim that they are ‘innocent’ from the government’s perspective. For sure they have been arrested because the government is not happy about their practices, ideas and actions.
But little do we know that these people can also be part of a growing group of Iraqis who openly oppose corruption in the ranks of the government and its summary arrests and secret prisons.
Charges like these in government’s mind are enough to put them behind bars and exhibit them as successes of its security forces on television.
In case you weren't aware, Newsweek is a terrible source for information:
A top Taliban intelligence officer and several other knowledgeable insurgent sources tell NEWSWEEK that the insurgency’s top commanders named two replacements for Baradar last month at a shura—or senior council meeting—near the Pakistani frontier city of Quetta. The anointees: Abdul Qayum Zakir, a former Guantánamo inmate and ruthless field commander; and Akhtar Mohammad Mansoor, a portly financial and logistical expert who commands a large militia force…There’s a lot to unravel here. For one, I’d be curious as to what, exactly, a “top Taliban intelligence officer” really is. They do not, as best I know, have a formalized intelligence organization, even though I’d describe their intelligence gathering capability as highly complex. If they do have members dedicated to analyzing and acting on intelligence—if their organization is not, as most assume, so cellular and distributed that individual groups run their own, local collection—then that is actually very interesting information, and suggests a hierarchy I’d never really had reason to assume exists.
To this end, the Taliban are emphasizing that Zakir’s and Mansoor’s appointments were made with Mullah Omar’s explicit consent. But according to other fighters, few people truly believe Omar had any say in the matter. The mullah has not been seen or heard from since November 2001, when he fled Kandahar on the back of Baradar’s motorcycle. As a result, most Taliban are skeptical of claims or rumors that Zakir and Mansoor—or any Taliban commanders, for that matter—have had direct contact with their missing leader.
Secondly, if Mansoor’s appointment was only decided last month—December of 2010—then why was Syed Saleem Shahzad reporting on it last February? It could be that they were confirming, or re-upping Mansoor’s promotion, and maybe adding Zakir to the mix. But that description sounds damned fishy. The Taliban wouldn’t take 10 months to name a replacement for a senior official like this.
Lastly, there’s the claim that Mullah Omar hasn’t been seen or heard from since 2001. That is, flatly wrong...

Fifty Years Ago Today Eisenhower Warned of the Military-Industrial Complex
It has been reported that in Eisenhower's original draft of this speech the phrasing was Military-Industrial-Congressional complex. At the unrelenting insistence of his aides, Eisenhower relented and dropped "Congressional" from his speech. Too bad he did. Excerpts:
"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist."
"Today, the solitary inventor, tinkering in his shop, has been overshadowed by task forces of scientists in laboratories and testing fields. In the same fashion, the free university, historically the fountainhead of free ideas and scientific discovery, has experienced a revolution in the conduct of research. Partly because of the huge costs involved, a government contract becomes virtually a substitute for intellectual curiosity. For every old blackboard there are now hundreds of new electronic computers.
"The prospect of domination of the nation's scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present and is gravely to be regarded."
"Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific technological elite.
It is the task of statesmanship to mold, to balance, and to integrate these and other forces, new and old, within the principles of our democratic system -- ever aiming toward the supreme goals of our free society."
"Another factor in maintaining balance involves the element of time. As we peer into society's future, we -- you and I, and our government -- must avoid the impulse to live only for today, plundering, for our own ease and convenience, the precious resources of tomorrow. We cannot mortgage the material assets of our grandchildren without risking the loss also of their political and spiritual heritage. We want democracy to survive for all generations to come, not to become the insolvent phantom of tomorrow."
"Down the long lane of the history yet to be written America knows that this world of ours, ever growing smaller, must avoid becoming a community of dreadful fear and hate, and be instead, a proud confederation of mutual trust and respect."

If you haven't watch the speech, it's worth your time. Where have the true leaders of this nation gone?
Here's a brief excerpt:

Baghdad Citizens Receive 1/18th of the Amount of Electricity They had Received Seven Years Ago Under Sadaam. Average of Two Military/Security Leaders Assassinated Every Day.
Iraq’s capital, Baghdad, home to more than six million people, hardly gets one hour of non-interrupted electricity supplies every 24 hours.
The city has plunged into darkness with the country’s national grid still unable to increase supplies despite billions of dollars in investments.
Seven years after the 2003-U.S. invasion, power production in the country is still below levels reached under former leader Saddam Hussein.
Prior to his downfall, Baghdad used to have up to 18 hours of electricity supplies a day
The last two years saw an upsurge in insecurity due to an unprecedented hike in assassinations whether in Baghdad or other major Iraqi cities.
These assassinations, which have so far claimed more than 2,000 lives among the country’s security forces, are carried out in two major ways.
In the first, the assassins rely on silencer guns which are either imported or produced locally. In the second, the assassins rely on stick explosive charges most of which are imported.
The problem with these assassinations is two-fold. First, the assassins select their victims very carefully and make sure they have a role to play in the country’s armed forces and security ranks. Second, they have turned into an unstoppable contagious disease.
/snip/
There are no Wikileaks reports to reveal the secrets behind these terrifying killings. But one can say with certainty that both U.S. and Iraqi government claims of having succeeded to reinstate relative calm in the country are false and hollow.
Blaming them on al-Qaeda branch in Iraq, the so-called the Iraqi Islamic state, is the worst conspiracy theory-hatched scenario one can imagine. If the assassinations are truly of al-Qaeda making, then we the Iraqis and the whole world with us should lament not only our future but the future of our children.
Such an allegation, if true, it will mean that al-Qaeda is unbeatable and that the U.S. has cut and run in Iraq and that our shaky government will soon be overthrown with the terror group’s operatives taking over.
Who other than the world’s mightiest intelligence agencies is capable of carrying out such highly coordinated and well-targeted assassinations? How come that the mighty U.S. armed forces could not put an end to them?
The ongoing assassinations leave more than one question mark about whatever the U.S. and Iraqi government officials say in regard to conditions in Iraq.

Elfin Little Timmy Pops out from his Hollow Tree to Warn Amerikans of Future Bailouts for the Good of the Homeland, the Rodina
“We may have to do exceptional things again if we face a shock that large,” Geithner told the Office of the Special Inspector General for TARP in December
...but the group also said the Treasury secretary’s comments highlight that TARP has left a legacy of “moral hazard associated with the continued existence of institutions that remain ‘too big to fail.’”
“It also serves as a reminder that the ultimate cost of bailing out Citigroup and the other ‘too big to fail’ institutions will remain unknown until the next financial crisis occurs,” SIGTARP added in its report.
Shelia Bair covers her ass with:
The FDIC’s Bair told SIGTARP that the New York Fed warned told her that “problems would occur in global markets” if Citi failed.
“We didn’t have our own information to verify this statement, so I didn’t want to dispute that with them,” Bair added, according to SIGTARP

Quotes from Great Americans and from some not so Great Americans
The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it always to be kept alive.
An honest man can feel no pleasure in the exercise of power over his fellow citizens.
Thomas Jefferson
Arms discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property... Horrid mischief would ensue were the law-abiding deprived of the use of them
Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state, an intolerable one.
He who is the author of a war lets loose the whole contagion of hell and opens a vein that bleeds a nation to death.
If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace.
We have it in our power to begin the world over again.
Thomas Paine
“They had begun to consider the Government of the United States as a mere appendage to their own affairs. We know now that Government by organized money is just as dangerous as Government by organized mob. Never before in all our history have these forces been so united against one candidate as they stand today.
“They are unanimous in their hate for me — and I welcome their hatred.”
Franklin Delano Roosevelt
Franklin Delano Roosevelt
Now onto the not so great Americans:
Now, I have to go back to work on my State of the Union speech. And I worked on it until pretty late last night. But I want to say one thing to the American people. I want you to listen to me. I'm going to say this again: I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky.
Bill Clinton
If money isn’t loosened up, this sucker could go down
We found the weapons of mass destruction
We also have intelligence that Iraq has sought large amounts of uranium and uranium oxide, known as yellowcake, from Africa.
George Bush
I am here today because I want to urge you to join us, instead of fighting us in this effort, Obama told an audience that included some of Wall Street's top executives. Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein
Barack W. Obushma
When I sell liquor, it's called bootlegging; when my patrons serve it on Lake Shore Drive, it's called hospitality.

Stock market drops...
then the thief coward Bernanke monetizes more US debt, nearly two trillion worth to date. The chosen ones, the ones deemed too big to fail, the leering and drooling pigmen, take their monetized mammon provided from the High Rabbi, the Pharisee on the mount, the Bernake, and the stock market goes up. Tonight under the sole light from the cold hearted orb, I will slaughter a lamb and drink it's blood, kneeling down in their honor, in awe of their magnificence. Then I will arise, and speaking in the long forgotten tongues of our ancestors, I will shout, "fuck you assholes."
The imitation nation and it's imitation of a society with it's imitation debt values and it's imitation equity values rolls on as it continues it's imitation of previous imitaters that imitated previous economic recoveries, (see 2002 thru 2006 with M.E.W. extracted and mid to late 1990's minus massive spike in consumer debt and internet bubble), towards it's final destination, it's endgame.
When this thing pops it will make the last crisis look like a picnic.

Simulacrum
Simulacrum: a mere image or one that does not represent the reality of the original.
An imitation nation. An imitation of previous imitators of imitations. With it's imitations of an economic recovery designed to imitate previous imitations of an economic recovery. It's imitation banks with their imitation balance sheets that imitate a healthy balance sheet. It's imitation of an imitated equity market and debt markets. It's imitation Fed balance sheet as it imitates not printing money. It's imitation leaders who imitate previous imitators of leaders. It's imitation data and it's imitation of creating jobs. It's imitation of fighting wars to save and spread an imitator's imitation of democracy and freedom as it imitates previous imitations. An imitation society that imitates previous imitators of a society. Can not stand. Nor should it.
